Abigail & James Hollyfield Manor Fall Wedding was laid back and fun!

I have to say, when you plan your wedding, it should really reflect who you are as a couple! Abigail & James came up against that same thought process while they were planning their day. They were originally thinking ‘black tie wedding’, but they are both super laid back people, and having such a formal wedding just didn’t feel right to them. The things that they cherish the most were coming together with their friends and family, having a gorgeous venue with wide-open space for the kids to run around in, and celebrating!

My bride and groom were friends for a solid five years before they took their relationship to the next level! How amazing is it when couples start out as friends first?! It doesn’t get any better than that! From a rock-solid foundation of friendship, their love story began. They both describe themselves as laid back and silly, an awesome dynamic for any relationship! However, Abby is the more practical, task-oriented one of the couple, while James is a romantic at heart and a creative soul.

Abigail & James actually got legally married on March 10th, 2020. I know what you’re thinking – and yeah, it was 10 days before the big lockdown! So they never really got to have the big celebration of marriage that they were hoping for, until now! And that’s exactly what their focus was for their Hollyfield Manor Wedding. No theme, no formalities, just cherished moments and heaps of love! I always follow up with my couples after their wedding to ask what the best part of their day was. Both Abigail & James of answers included dancing at their reception! It’s safe to say that they achieved their goal of celebrating their marriage!

As a mother of two, I am very familiar with how quickly life’s most important moments fly by too quickly. I will calmly and seamlessly guide you through frames that will endure. I strive to capture your memories with one-of-a-kind images full of meaning. I cannot wait to connect with you!

I bring all of these elements to my time with my couples. With over a decade of experience in the industry, I know how to gently guide you through poses that are natural and beautiful. When I’m not photographing weddings, I enjoy long walks in the neighborhood with my husband, my kiddos Tuxie and Sunny, and my labradoodle Hokie.. Also, I am a huge dog-lover! I’m pretty sure heaven is full of dogs. I can’t wait to connect with you, and yes, your pup is always welcome here!
