My fiance is a very festive man and loves Christmas lights. He suggested we take our own mini Tacky Light Tour this weekend and I was def in. For those of you who don’t live in Richmond you are probably asking, “What the heck is the Tacky Light Tour”? In a nutshell, many participants through out the Richmond area decorate their houses with over 40,000 Christmas lights (I think thats the right number). People from all over Virginia hop in a vehicle, whether that be a rented limo, bus or trolley, and you “Oooooo, and Ahhhh” over these displays. Is it worth it? YES. Does it make your heart skip a beat? YES. Do you feel like a kid? YOU BET. This tour has been nationally recognized on NBC for its awesomeness.
