Richmond’s Pipeline is one of the city’s best kept secrets. It’s where the urban city meets rural nature. Two polar opposites that balance and complement each other perfectly. It is known that opposites attract, and that’s exactly how Leslie and Jordan’s story began. They met at the University of Maryland while watching a Duke/Carolina basketball game. Anyone that knows college basketball, knows that the Duke, North Caroline rivalry is one of the fiercest in sports. Despite their differences in teams, they managed to hit it off and cultivate a relationship. Don’t be fooled though, that same rivalry still continues to this day.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

I always love hearing how the couples feel about each other, and their love for each other didn’t disappoint. According to Leslie, Jordan has always been quick to laugh which helps to relax her. He also encourages her to strive for the best and pursue her interests. Jordon says Leslie has the kindest soul and has been an encouraging presence in his life since they first met. Through our time together, I’ve loved hearing and witnessing their love and joie de vivre for life!

Caught In a Perfect Storm

Leslie and Jordan are adventurous and have traveled the world together. They have many fascinating travel stories, but their greatest adventure of all happened in Budapest. While out and about in Budapest one evening, they discovered a hidden park with food trucks. They had just ordered a delectable pizza when it started to downpour on them. They quickly stuffed their faces and ran for cover, escaping to an awesome bar overlooking the city. It’s the unexpected, spontaneous moments that are never forgotten.

Taking the Plunge

A spontaneous surprise is exactly what Jordan had in mind when he decided to take their relationship to the next level and ask for Leslie’s hand in marriage. Since they have a love for adventure and the outdoors, he proposed on a warm winter day on the T. Potterfield Memorial Bridge near Brown’s Island. She obviously said yes, which brings us to today for their engagement session. They choose the Pipeline for their engagement session because it’s one of their favorite places to go in the city. They spend a lot of time there, especially in the springtime. While photographing their session, their ease of laughter and love was infectious. They were so natural and comfortable with each other, and it was heartwarming to witness through my lens.

Adventure Awaits

Their adventure will continue as husband and wife next spring at the Poe Museum in Richmond, Virginia. They are most looking forward to building their lives together and the many years of love and adventure! Looking forward to celebrating their wedding day next spring!
