Isabella & Conrad’s Timeless VMFA Wedding in Richmond, Virginia

A Modern Love Story That Started on Hinge

Isabella and Conrad’s elegant VMFA wedding in Richmond, Virginia was a beautiful reflection of their relationship — intentional, adventurous, and deeply rooted in friendship. Some love stories begin with grand gestures, but for Isabella and Conrad, it all started with a swipe on Hinge in January 2023. Their first date took place at a bar in Washington, DC, where they each brought friends along — friends who would later stand beside them on their wedding day. From the very beginning, their relationship was built on connection, shared values, and a love for experiencing life together.

Getting Ready at The Jefferson Hotel

The morning of their wedding began at the historic The Jefferson Hotel, where Isabella and Conrad got ready surrounded by their closest family and friends. The timeless elegance and historic charm of the hotel created the perfect atmosphere for such a meaningful morning. Every moment felt emotional and intentional as excitement built for the day ahead.

A Romantic VMFA Wedding Ceremony

Their celebration continued from the Pro Cathedral of Saint Peters to the  stunning Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, where they danced the night away surrounded by art, architecture, and the people they love most.

One of Isabella’s favorite memories from the day was the moment the doors opened and she saw Conrad waiting for her at the altar. It was a moment filled with emotion, excitement, and complete certainty — one she says she will never forget.

A Relationship Built on Adventure and Everyday Moments

Isabella and Conrad share many of the same values, which makes their relationship feel so effortless. Both are active, health-conscious, and adventurous. They love traveling together, trying fun restaurants, wine tasting, hiking, and cooking meals at home.

At the same time, they equally cherish the simple moments — taking walks around their neighborhood, meeting up with friends, or simply spending quality time together after a busy week. No matter what they’re doing, they genuinely enjoy doing life side by side.

A Thoughtful Proposal at Cana Winery

Their engagement was every bit as thoughtful and romantic as their wedding day. On October 19, 2024, Conrad proposed at Cana Winery with a hidden photographer there to capture every moment. Isabella describes the proposal as absolutely perfect, especially because Conrad had planned an entire day of celebrations afterward, making the experience feel even more meaningful and unforgettable.

Three Words That Describe Their Love

Before getting married, Isabella and Conrad asked each other to describe the other person in just three words.

Isabella described Conrad as smart, fun, and charismatic, while also calling him the hardest-working person she knows.

Conrad described Isabella as considerate, passionate, and energetic.

Those few words perfectly reflect the admiration, respect, and deep friendship at the center of their relationship.

Celebrating Late Into the Night

While their VMFA wedding was filled with unforgettable moments, one of their favorite memories happened after the reception had ended. Back at their suite, their wedding parties gathered together until 4 a.m., reminiscing about the day, laughing nonstop, and soaking in every final moment together.

It was the perfect ending to a celebration centered around love, friendship, and the people who matter most.

Wedding Advice from the Bride

When asked what advice she would give to future couples planning a wedding, Isabella’s answer was simple: hire a planner.

Whether it’s a full-service planner or just a day-of coordinator, having someone there to guide the day and act as your safety net allows you to truly be present and enjoy every moment stress-free.
