New Kent Winery Wedding | Kimberly & Derek

A few months ago, I had the pleasure to photograph Kimberly and Derek’s engagement session at New Kent Winery. The seasons have quickly changed, and here we are again on their wedding day. The crisp air and golden touches of autumn welcome the wedding guests to a loving and humble ceremony.

I Now Pronounce You Husband and Wife

With the changing seasons, comes new beginnings for Kimberly and Derek as they become husband and wife. Today is the day, they pledge their lives to each other in front of their closest friends and family. Kimberly looked timeless and elegant as she walked down the aisle in her allusion neckline ball-gown wedding dress. Derek was a dashing groom in a Tommy Hilfiger navy suit accented with a sharp burgundy tie. The burgundy merlot bridesmaid dresses complemented the rich fall color scheme to perfection. Even their pooch blended in marvelously with the wedding party adoring a burgundy tutu!

Can’t Help Falling Love

After their loving vows, the celebration continued through the night inside the vineyard estate. Guests enjoyed delicious food catered by David Napier’s White House Catering and lively music and dancing to Colonial DJ. Kimberly and Derek danced their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” by Elvis Presley. This song has carried meaning throughout their relationship. “Occasionally, Derek will take my hand out of the blue, start humming the first few notes and together, we would softly dance as he hums out the rest of the song,” Kimberly tenderly explained. Derek is truly a gentlemen and romantic at heart. The love they have for each other is profound and special, and their first dance was evidence of that.

Happily Ever After

The entire day was infused with love and admiration. Their wedding venue suited their personalities impeccably. Kimberly and Derek chose Vineyard Estate at New Kent Winery because they loved the down-to-earth rustic atmosphere. They couldn’t have been a more down-to-earth and loving couple to work with.
