These fun & vibrant maternity photos at Brown’s Island are what being a Maternity Photographer in Richmond is all about!
So, do you want to know why Erica & Lee chose to have their maternity photos taken at Brown’s Island? It’s because that’s where they had their very first kiss! How freakin cute is that?! They also especially love the view of Richmond from the pedestrian bridge and the background of the James River. But, I can’t say I blame them! It’s such an ideal location for a photoshoot so I was totally on board with their choice!
Erica and Lee both have servant’s hearts, Erica as a nurse practitioner and Lee as a pastor. And it was their love for serving that brought them together. The couple met through an organization called Needle’s Eye Ministries. During our shoot at Brown’s Island, and in between plenty of laughter (we totally had fun!), Erica & Lee actually ran into some people that they know from the organization. Which was pretty amazing!
We met for this session in mid-April so it was right around the time when the winter frost had officially melted away and the trees and flowers were just starting to bloom. It was very poetic in a way to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Erica & Lees’s baby girl right when nature was starting to wake up again. I love the beauty and symbolism behind it!
Because this is Erica & Lee’s second baby, I asked them what they were most excited about as they become parents of a newborn for a second time, and here’s what they had to say!
“We are looking forward to seeing our daughter become a big sister, looking forward to seeing baby’s development and personality come out! And we are looking forward to becoming a family of 4, plus 2 fur babies!”
