When Erin and Nathan told me that they are easy-going, laid-back, and love the outdoors I knew for sure that the three of us would totally hit it off! I also knew how important it was that we hit it off because this was Erin and Nathan’s first photo shoot together. So they had major nerves walking into it! I mean, who wouldn’t right?! But, we were able to shake off the nerves, have fun, and they totally rocked it!
My outdoorsy couple loves to spend their time together going on hikes and camping in Shenandoah National Park. By the way, this is where Nathan chose to propose to Erin. The proposal happened one cold October morning as the sun was rising! Knowing how much they love the outdoors, and how it was woven into their love story meant we needed amazing organic light and a freaking amazing location in Richmond for their engagement photos! They were specifically looking for a spot that had lots of greenery. They were also hoping for rocks by the water, wildlife, and anywhere they could just walk around and hang out. It sounds like a tall order, but Richmond Canal Walk checked all the boxes on their list!
By the end of their session, the three of us had spent the morning chatting and walking along the Riverfront while capturing some totally amazing moments! When we were done Erin and Nathan made their way back to their car, when Nathan turned to Erin and said “that was so fun!” So I guess you could say that when all was said and done, we nailed it!!
