Pippin Hill Vineyard has an all-inclusive approach to planning your wedding. Additionally, their weddings are exclusive. This means the use of their grounds on your wedding day will be for you and your guests alone. Without any additional outside events happening on their grounds. Your exclusive wedding day at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards includes the use of the following spaces. The Granary, The Tasting Room, and The Veranda. An all-inclusive wedding day at Pippin Hill begins at 11 a.m. and ends at midnight. Total accommodation for a wedding at Pippin Hill allows for a plated service with a maximum count of 200 guests. Or a stationed dinner with a maximum of 250 guests. 
GETTING READY SUITES AT PIPPIN HILL FARM & VINEYARDS
Your wedding day at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards all begins with the precious moments spent in your getting-ready suite. Here, you’ll enjoy those highly anticipated minutes before you are wed to your beloved. Finding solace in the company of your closest friends and family members. Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards offers its couples two distinct getting-ready suites, to get their day started.
The first available for getting wedding day ready at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is their Loft. The Loft is an airy space with an intimate, warm feeling. It’s the perfect place for those getting-ready moments. The Loft is filled with natural light; your hair and makeup artist will love it! The Loft also includes a hair and makeup bar, a sitting area, and a three-paneled mirror. Not only is it a wonderful place to unwind while getting ready, but it’s an ideal location on the grounds to capture those pre-wedding moments. Additionally, amenities in The Loft include an adjoining private bathroom with a shower. And a room service-style menu to provide you with plenty of snacks and drinks before the big moment!

The second room available for getting ready on your wedding day is the The Cellar. It’s located in the cool grotto of the wine cellar at Pippin Hill. It’s a fabulous, laid-back location to relax and button your cufflinks before heading to your ceremony. This Cellar includes a spacious dressing room, leather furniture, an oversized coffee table, and a TV. Much like The Loft, The Cellar also provides a room service-style menu to offer you a variety of snacks and drinks to feast on before marrying the love of your life.
ON-SITE WEDDING CEREMONY LOCATIONS AT PIPPIN HILL
There are three distinct locations on the grounds of Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards to host your wedding ceremony and they are all gorgeous! The first is their Veranda, and the second and third are The Vineyard Lawn and the Main Lawn. I’ll go into space and accommodations for each, in-depth, below.
Firstly, the classic stone Veranda at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards evokes the feeling of a Tuscan villa. It is fully protected from the elements and overlooks the landscaped courtyards and mountains. In total, the Veranda is 1800 square feet and is equipped with residential outdoor furniture, three bars, candlelit lanterns, bistro lighting, and an available sound system. This open-air space is covered overhead but also provides heaters in the winter, and sun shades, and overhead fans in the summer.
The second & third option for hosting your wedding ceremony at Pippin Hill is the Vineyard Lawn and the Main Lawn. These two spaces, by far, have the most scenic picturesque views. Each of these two ceremony lawns embraces the natural beauty of the grounds at Pippin Hill for an open-air experience. The Vineyard lawn is best suited for weddings with guest counts of 140 and above. If you have a guest count of under 140, it is recommended that you host your wedding ceremony on the Main Lawn. The Main Lawn is a more intimate space that still provides sweeping mountain views. Additionally, each of these outdoor wedding ceremony locations provides access to power for your officiant or live music. Lastly, included in the experience of saying I do on the grounds of Pippin Hill is the use of crisp white folding chairs for the comfort of your guests.
COCKTAIL HOUR AT PIPPIN HILL
A complete wedding day experience is often enhanced with a fantastic cocktail hour. Trying to decide whether to welcome your guests to your reception with glasses of champagne or host an unforgettable cocktail hour after your ceremony but before your reception? Why not provide your guests with an unforgettable experience and opt for both? Pippin Hill Farms & Vineyards offers two distinct spaces for hosting cocktail gatherings. Conversely, they also offer a selection of portable bars to bring the drinks to you! It’s a top-notch service that will wow your guests.
The first option for a fabulous cocktail hour during your Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard wedding is to host your guests on the Veranda. In fact, the views of the sunset from this space are so dreamy, that your guests might not want to head to your dinner service! The Veranda is the recommended space for hosting a dedicated cocktail hour at your Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard wedding. Just to reiterate, this space is covered from the elements, and equipped with residential furniture. During the winter it is made cozy with the use of space heaters, while the summer months are made cooler by the sun shades and overhead fans.

The second option for a dedicated bar space on your wedding day is The Tasting Room. This space is available for use throughout the duration of the evening. The most amazing thing about this room is that the bar is actually crafted from a 400-year-old Cypress tree. It is truly something to see! The Tasting Room also provides spectacular views of the grounds.
WEDDING RECEPTIONS AT PIPPIN HILL FARM & VINEYARDS
Wedding reception celebrations at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards typically take place in The Granary. A two-story, 3600-square-foot room with gorgeous vaulted ceilings! The space inside The Granary will truly take your breath away. And that design was done intentionally when the space was created. It was designed to echo Virginia’s proud agrarian heritage with a barn-inspired aesthetic including rooftop cupolas and hardwood floors. The space is charming yet flawless. Making it an amazing location for you to spend the night dining and dancing in celebration of your wedding day!
In total, The Granary is able to accommodate up to 250 guests. Use of this space also comes with amenities including tabletop place settings, china, glassware, cutlery, and linen tablecloths and napkins. Additionally, there is a sound-controlled drapery within the room, ambient lighting, and plenty of power for live bands & DJs to host the wedding reception of your dreams! Don’t let the term barn-inspired fool you, The Granary is fully temperature controlled making it a comfortable space for both winter and summer weddings alike.
CATERING AT PIPPIN HILL
All weddings at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards are exclusively catered by their in-house catering team. The exception to this is wedding cake, which may be brought in from an outside vendor. However, if wedding cake isn’t really your thing, you can inquire with Pippin Hill about crafting a dessert display for your wedding!

At the helm of Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard’s in-house catering team is executive chef Victoria Cosner. Chef Victoria has a deep love for her community in Charlottesville and has dedicated her life to honing in on her craft. Most notably, Chef Vicorita’s expertise is her ability to easily create an enhanced dining experience that combines food and wine. Additionally, Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards along with Chef Victoria highlight ingredients in their dishes that are plucked fresh from their garden. In fact, on their property in addition to their garden, you’ll find a bee apiary, a chicken coop, and several vegetable gardens. All of which curate the amazingly fresh ingredients you can expect to find at the dinner service of your wedding reception.
The items that are not grown in-house, such as fruits, meats, and cheeses are provided by farm partners. Pippin Hill carefully hand-selects local farm partners who can enhance the in-house dining experience. All in all, it gives you the ability to create a wedding menu that emphasizes the fresh flavors of the season!
WEDDING RECEPTION DINING EXPERIENCE
The food and beverage experience of your wedding at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards begins with a personal consultation. During your consultation, the team will advise you on the menu selections and recommendations for your wedding day. Artisanal selections are at the forefront of their abundant menu selection. With their team of catering managers there by your side from menu selections to your tasting. The selections during your consultation will cover food and beverage service for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. You’ll be able to hand-select all of your menu items including canapés, first course, a la carte, late-night snacks, wine pairings, and your bar package. The entire process from the menu selection to tasting, and finalizing your options happens 3 months in advance of your wedding day. Overall, Pippin Hill is committed to providing you with a worry-free wedding weekend with its all-inclusive catering service!
With your menu carefully selected, next, you’ll choose your dining option. The dining options for the wedding reception experience include formal or informal dining. A formal dining experience provides a seated meal, while an informal dining experience providing food stations. Once your wedding day arrives the top-notch catering & waitstaff at Pippin Hill will carefully deliver and present your dinner service. TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM PIPPIN HILL FARM & VINEYARDS
Though Pippin Hill allows for on-site parking, they have a strict transportation protocol that must be adhered to. Pippin Hill only allows the use of their recommended transportation companies. If you have wedding guests coming in from out of town that will require transportation to and from their local hotel, be sure to check with Pippin Hill prior to booking a shuttle service for your guests. They are able to help guide you on sample timelines that help allocate the amount of time each route will take.

The total cost of a wedding at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is determined by their 4 seasons. The winter season, mid-season, high season, and Holiday weekends. I’m going to break it down for you a bit more. First by listing the months of each season. Then I’ll go over the venue fee per day of the week along with the minimum food and beverage spend. COST OF WINTER WEDDINGS AT PIPPIN HILL
Let’s start with the cost of a Pippin Hill wedding during the winter months. Pippin Hill defines the winter months as December, January, February, and March. A Friday wedding during these months comes with a venue fee of $7k and a food and beverage minimum of $19k. For a Saturday wedding during the winter months, the total cost for use of the wedding venue at Pippin Hill is $8k with a food and beverage minimum of $22k. Lastly, for a Sunday wedding during the winter months at Pippin Hill, the venue fee is $5k with a food and beverage minimum of 19k.
COST OF MID-SEASON WEDDINGS AT PIPPIN HILL
The next season at Pippin Hill is the mid-season. The months of mid-season are defined as April, July, August, and November. For a Friday wedding during mid-season, the venue fee is $10k with a food and beverage minimum of $26k. To host a Saturday wedding at Pippin Hill during mid-season, the venue fee is $15k with a food & beverage minimum of $37,500. Lastly, for a Sunday wedding at Pippin Hill during their mid-season, the cost of the venue is $7k, with a food and beverage minimum of $26k.
COST OF HIGH-SEASON WEDDINGS AT PIPPIN HILL
Weddings at Pippin Hill during high season are defined as weddings taking place during the months of May, June, September, and October. For a Friday wedding at Pippin Hill during high season, the total cost of the venue is $14k, with a food and beverage minimum of $36k. To host a Saturday wedding at Pippin Hill during high season, the total cost of the venue is $19k with a food and beverage minimum of $47,500. Lastly, to host a Sunday wedding at Pippin Hill during the high season, the total cost of the venue is $10k with a food and beverage minimum spend of $36k.
COST OF HOLIDAY WEEKEND WEDDINGS AT PIPPIN HILL
The final determination for the cost of a wedding at Pippin Hill is weddings taking place on holiday weekends such as Labor Day and Memorial Day. For a Friday wedding on a holiday weekend, the total venue cost is $12k with a food and beverage minimum of $36k. A Saturday wedding on a holiday weekend comes with a venue cost of $22k and a food and beverage minimum of $55k. Lastly, a Sunday wedding on a holiday weekend at Pippin Hill comes with a venue cost of $15k and a minimum food and beverage spend of $45k.
