Planning a Rehearsal
You will be permitted to plan a wedding rehearsal at The Barn the day before your wedding. The total duration of a rehearsal at Tiffin Farm is one hour and is provided at no additional cost. However, if there is another wedding booked at the venue on the day of your rehearsal, then your rehearsal must be complete by 11 am.
Hosting a Cocktail Hour During Your Wedding
Located just steps away from the Tiffin Barn ceremony lawn, cocktail hours are offered at The Barn’s covered porch. This space is ideal for welcoming your guests with vibrant libations and hors d’oeuvres of your choice once you have been pronounced in marriage. Additionally, this outdoor space is set against panoramic views of the towering Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.
Receptions at The North Hall
There are two distinctive spaces to host your Tiffin Farm wedding reception. The first is the North Hall. This is an expansive, flexible space that offers an abundance of golden natural light streaming in. The North Hall is located at the very center of the farm and features a glass opening overhead, which can be opened to create an indoor/outdoor wedding day experience. The North Hall accommodates a variety of seating layouts and is completely protected from the elements with heat and air conditioning for weddings any time of the year.
Celebrating at The Main Hall
The second space available for hosting a Tiffin Barn wedding reception is The Main Hall. This undoubtedly grand space features barn doors and multiple options for staging your wedding day celebration. Much like The North Hall, The Main Hall is protected from the elements, featuring heating and air conditioning for year-round weddings. This space at Tiffin Farm can also be used to host wedding ceremonies in the event of rain.
Total Capacity
The Barn at Tiffin Farm is able to accommodate a maximum of up to 200 seated guests on the day of your wedding.
Working with a Wedding Planner at Tiffin Farm
In order to plan a wedding at Tiffin Farm, the venue does require that couples work with a professional wedding planner. This requirement is becoming increasingly common with exclusive-use wedding venues and ensures that each aspect of your venue contract is properly adhered to when it comes to restrictions and requirements. Additionally, hiring a planner provides a steady source of communication between you and the venue. Lastly, setup and break down is not offered by the venue and is considered the responsibility of the host, which can be coordinated by your wedding planner.

The food and beverage service for your wedding at Tiffin Farm in Charlottesville is not included in your venue fee. You will need to hire a licensed caterer who is able to create a delectable dining service for your cocktail hour and reception at Tiffin Barn. The venue does not offer a catering kitchen. However, they do provide a 750 square foot covered catering staging area for your preferred caterer to work with. This area is located at the south end of Tiffin Barn and features power outlets, lighting, water, and separate drive-up access.
Accessing Tiffin Farm on the Day of Your Wedding
The Barn at Tiffin Farm is an exclusive-use wedding venue. Thus allowing you and your guests unfettered access to the grounds. All in all, unencumbered by other weddings or events taking place at the same time as your wedding. Tiffin Farm offers all-day access to the venue on the day of your wedding. You will be permitted to enter the venue beginning at 10 am with a final event time of 10 pm. Similarly, access to The Barn is from 10 am to 11 pm. If you require early access to the on-site getting ready suite in order to work with your hair and makeup team, you can coordinate this with the venue.
Guest Parking
Parking for your guests is provided in a gravel parking lot, located a short walking distance away from The Barn. This parking lot is able to accommodate up to 50 vehicles. Should your guests require more than 50 parking spaces, additional parking is available for a shuttle service, as well as for your vendors.
