Megan & Billy’s wedding at The Foundry Golf Club in Powhatan County Virginia was a classic wedding with joyful unique touches!

Their Love Story

As the saying goes, opposites attract! Megan describes herself as very laid back and thoughtful. She loves to make sure that everyone in her presence feels loved.

Billy is the more serious one in their relationship. He is always looking at every angle and consideration under every circumstance. Megan told me that this makes him the sweetest caregiver! How awesome is that?! Billy always makes sure that her needs are met and that every obstacle that might stand in their path has been cleared.

Together, Megan & Billy love to travel, enjoy wine, and take in college football games. They also describe themselves as optimizers and organizers! With their to-do lists in hand, they love to run errands and work on projects together. Watch out Chip & Jo!

Possessing such opposite qualities has helped them appreciate one another and strengthen their love!

The groom’s favorite singer is Taylor Swift! Megan and Billy decided to incorporate some of her songs into their vows. If you catch a glimpse of Megan laughing in half of their ceremony photos below, it’s exactly because of this. She couldn’t believe that the officiant actually went along with their unique request!

Another fun and unique fact about their wedding day? Billy loved Carvel cakes as a kid (I mean who didn’t?!) Even though the main accent color of their wedding day was blush, the groom still got his frozen blue goodness from Carvel on their wedding day!

Megan’s favorite part of their day? When she was walking down the aisle and she could see that Billy was tearing up as she approached him! Total lovefest!

When I’m not photographing weddings, I enjoy long walks in the neighborhood with my husband, my kiddos Tuxie and Sunny, and my labradoodle Hokie.. Also, I am a huge dog-lover! I’m pretty sure heaven is full of dogs. I can’t wait to connect with you, and yes, your pup is always welcome here!
