You are for real going to fall in love with Sarah & Rob’s 1000 Westover Maymont Wedding in Richmond VA as much as I did!
I’m not going to lie to you, Sarah and Rob’s wedding day was cold! But, it’s definitely what’s to be expected of having a winter wedding in Richmond! I’m always looking for those joyful moments in between (the big ones too, of course!) And one of the special things about their wedding day was the anticipation of the cold. Sarah & Rob kept everyone warm with plenty of hot chocolate and hot apple cider, and later in the night by dancing up a storm with their close family and friends! How much do you love that?! Oh, and wait until you get a peek at Sarah’s winter wedding day fur shrug at their (bubble!) exit! I couldn’t get over it!
Wedding Day Details at 1000 Westover Maymont
You know I love to give you all the wedding day details right? Ok, let’s start with the couple’s favorite moment of their wedding day. Any guesses? It was their first look! Sarah said she never realized how special that moment could truly be, seeing each other for the first time before the ceremony. And PS, it always helps to get rid of those wedding day jitters!
Sarah and Rob’s ceremony was officiated by the bride’s father! Pair that with their custom handwritten vows and it was a recipe for a tissue grab!
For decor, Sarah and Rob were highly focused on keeping their winter wedding day intimate and cozy. So they brought in lots of greenery and glowy candles. They mixed together historic and modern elements to achieve that feeling of an intimate experience for their guests. I especially loved the shade of muted sage green that they used for their table numbers. Isn’t it crazy how color plays into the overall feel of a wedding day?!
But, the moments that were shared with family and friends meant the most to Sarah and Rob! The toasts from their maid of honor and best man made their hearts soar! And all that dancing they did to stay warm? The dance floor was first opened up with a father-daughter dance and then a mother-son dance, it was so heartwarming!
