As a Richmond VA Maternity Photographer, this winter session at The Carillon was chilly but so fun! Mom Heather was joined by her husband Ben and big brother to be Weston for this shoot. As a family, they love enjoying the outdoors! So they wanted to capture this moment in their lives before becoming a family of four while the trees were still turning colors for the season.
Heather’s favorite part of her pregnancy has been in finding empowerment in just how strong her body is. She loves knowing that every day her daughter is growing stronger, developing and that she is carefully protected while mama carries her safely into this world! Each movement feels so special to her.
For Dad’s part, Heather describes him as ‘seriously the best’!! So sweet! Ben is a supportive and helpful partner. Together he and Heather make a team. They are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to breaking down responsibilities and taking care of their son Weston and each other.
When mom gets a gorgeous dress from Pink Blush Maternity, you know she is totally going to rock it for the shoot! And let me tell you, it was freaking cold that day! But those pregnancy hormones kept mom warm at the beginning of the shoot even though it was super chilly out that day. However, by the end of the shoot, she was a full-on popsicle!
I asked Heather and Ben for one piece of advice that they’d love to share with new parents. Here’s what they said!
“It’s cliche but cherish the moments of snuggles and sleeping! Those first few weeks are so hard on parents but those were some of my favorites as we were getting to know our first baby.“
