This past weekend I went down to Atlanta, Georgia for a fabulous engagement shoot. It was a new adventure because I had never been to this city. All I knew was that I needed to get chicken and waffles. Sadly this never happened but the Chick Filet chicken biscuits were just as good!!! Close right? We walked into a coffee shop and they had some local art that said, “Bless Your Heart” and “Ya’ll”- I felt right at home! Haha. I wish I had taken pictures of the beginning of my trip but it was Dre (hubby) and I’s one year anniversary so I didn’t take the camera everywhere. Sometimes you have to set the camera down and focus on whats important (I’m trying to get better at that).
Okay so I LOVE street photography. If you give me a camera and drop me in a secluded city I’m going to walk away with at least 5 new friends, killer leg muscles (from walking everywhere) and a TRILLION new pictures. I love it. Can I say that one more time? I LOVE IT. I feel like I get a high when I am shooting on the streets. It’s just me & my camera. I’ll just save my happy rant for another blog post.
When we were down in Atlanta we went to a really cool flea market and had a blast. We didn’t buy anything but it was totally worth it looking at all the vintage stuff; Doll heads, letters, old toys. My favorite was the old magazines and the Pez dispensers. Next we went to a place called Krog Market which had so many cool hip stores. Our last day there we couldn’t decide if we were going to go to the CNN headquarters, the Coca-Cola factory or the aquarium so we just rented bikes and road around town. We stopped at this AMAZING, mouthwatering crepe restaurant called Juliana’s. Ahhhhh, so good. Lastly we went to Centennial Park where the olympics were once held, pretty cool! Never the less, we had a blast but as usual couldn’t wait to get back home!
Old magazines are so nostalgic and fabulous!
Loved watching this guy make crepes, it was such a treat
Sorry no pictures of the crepe, I dug in to fast
Keep in mind most of these pictures are taken riding my bike — yes I almost wrecked once…but thats okay I’m still alive!
