Julia & EJ are celebrating their love with a Fort Boykin Engagement Photo session!
My bride and groom-to-be were super nervous for their shoot but they were total naturals! In fact, after the session was over, EJ told his bride to be that it made him fall even more in love with her!
Julia and EJ’s love story goes all the way back to high school! They met when they were both working at the local bowling alley. It started off as a friendship that moved on to a prom date. Shortly after that, they were officially dating. Once high school was over Julia was off to college and EJ joined the navy! The couple dated long distance for three years while EJ was stationed in California and Julia was at college in Massachusetts. When EJ received his new orders he was restationed in Virginia and that’s when Julia made the move to be with him. They now have a beautiful home and a sweet golden retriever named Milo. Being a military family is not easy with constant changes in schedules and moving, but Julia says they are stronger than ever!
The Proposal Story
Milo got in on EJs proposal! EJ had Milo bring the ring box up to Julia, carrying it in his mouth like a good boy of course! When Julia grabbed the box from Milo’s mouth she turned around to find EJ down on one knee! After she said YES the newly engaged couple headed off to Busch Garden to celebrate. They rode rollercoasters all night, one of their favorite things to do! How fun is that?!
I met Julia & EJ in Fort Boykin for their engagement photos and it was crazy hot outside! I could sense that they were both a bit nervous about being in front of the camera so I shifted their focus to celebrating the memory of their engagement. Fort Boykin was the perfect outdoor location to capture Julia & EJs love story. We got to walk along the shore and there was heaps of light & beautiful organic elements surrounding us!
