This joyous and long-anticipated Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden wedding was a year in the making! After originally postponing their 2020 wedding due to the ongoing pandemic, Sarah and Jeremy were overjoyed to say I do!
Sarah and Jeremy’s love story began over 8 years ago The couple dated during undergrad and all throughout grad school. They dated long-distance for two years, lived in three different states, and moved through various jobs, all while still going strong! So there was no way that the pandemic was going to get it the way of their love.
Part of their staying part is due to their intermingled personalities! Jeremy is the laid back easy-going one of the duo. He can find joy in anything and he knows how to roll with changes and uncertainty. Sarah is more of a leader! She is caring and thoughtful, and she appreciates having a plan! Together, they love to spend time outdoors, with their fur babies, and sharing a delicious meal.
Details of their day
The arrival of their wedding day was a surreal moment for the bride! After postponing for 13 months she was filled with joy traveling up the drive to the Bloemendaal House and realizing that their wedding day had finally arrived!
Before their ceremony began Sarah and Jeremy opted to do a first look. This allowed them to spend some time together before the wedding began, and then focus on spending time with family & friends during their reception.
While Sarah & Jeremy’s day was centered around celebrating and spending time with family & friends, the details of their day focused on their garden venue! The bride and groom recited their vows under a rose arch in the formal garden! Later, their reception was held under a twinkling tent with full views of the garden all around them.
When it came to decor, it was important to them to enhance their wedding day through details while still keeping the existing beauty of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden untouched. Their wedding stationery & signage had touches of lighthearted florals throughout. Sarah’s wedding day look was classic beauty! She skipped the veil and wore pearls with her a-line wedding gown, perfect for a garden wedding! The florals that they selected for the bridal party and their decor were all delicate shades of creamy pastels. This color palette worked exactly as they wanted and it enhanced the existing greenery of their venue! And for a little something sweet, their dessert table was also created with their classic garden theme in mind. Macarons and mini chocolate cupcakes were created in shades of pink & cream and they were the perfect way to top off the night!
From the Newlyweds
“The afternoon spent together in the garden was beautiful and so full of love. We couldn’t have asked for anything better!”
