The Estate at River Run is an exquisite wedding venue in Maidens, VA. The magnificent brick Georgian Revival estate sits on a bluff high above the James River with views stretching out over the glowing horizon. Built-in the 1980s, the Estate at River Run hosts weddings of all sizes. From intimate soirees to grand celebrations in their two-story ballroom.

The estate provides multiple locations on its grounds for couples desiring an all-in-one wedding venue. Ceremonies may be held on the front lawn by the stone fountain. The choice of reception space is dependent on the size of your guest list. Options include the Wedgewood Ballroom, the Cameo Ballroom, and the Tuscan Ballroom. The luxurious gardens and views of the estate’s grounds provide a magnificent backdrop for an impeccable wedding portrait experience.

Featured in this wedding editorial are Morgan & Matt. A lovely couple who I worked with previously on their engagement session. After the announcement of their engagement, they wanted to capture the moment with an in-home session. I kept the focus of their session on creating a relaxed environment in their new home. There was dancing in the kitchen & dog snuggles on the couch.

This adoring couple was married shortly thereafter with a destination wedding in Florida. I was not in attendance for the moment they became husband and wife. However, a wedding editorial was scheduled to take place right around their one-year anniversary. We met at the Estate at River Run to recreate the tender moments of their wedding. Matt & Morgan embraced the slow moments on the upper terrace of the estate before ascending the grand staircase to a vintage car waiting below.
