For the past couple of thrift store runs I have been finding planters and what better way to use them than to put Hen & Chicks in them?? Okaaaay they aren’t literally animals. There are these little plants that are in the succulent family and they spread like wild fires. They just need a little room to grow. The “hen” is the momma plant, and the “chicks” are the offspring. The offspring start as little buds on the main plant and then spread out with their own roots, taking up residence close to the mamma plant. So you could put these in your front lawn and they will multiply. It’s pretty wild. These guys LOVE sunlight, need some space to spread out, and a little water when its dry. My brother got me into these because he has them everywhere! I’m telling you, one day there are like five hen & chicks & then there’s a barnyard of these little beauties!
I honesty don’t have a clue how to get these things out. I’m working on my green thumb.
I made a little bit of a mess – – don’t judge.
Im so in love with these cute little pots I found at Goodwill!!! These plants go so well with them!!
