Tuckahoe Plantation – The Perfect Backdrop
Tuckahoe Plantation certainly offered the perfect backdrop to celebrate Hayley and Chris’s small town love story. They had mutual friends, and almost met on a few occasions. Once they’d both modeled at the same bridal show and didn’t know it. However, it wasn’t until they exchanged phone numbers at their job at Red Lobster things were finally set in motion. They dropped off dishes at the dish pit. Made small talk, and agreed to meet at a party at JMU. “The rest is history,” said Hayley.
Back to the Roots
Thirteen years later, their engagement photo session at Tuckahoe Plantation brought them back to Virginia. Back to the roots of their love affair.Hayley wanted to be surrounded by gardens and greenery for their engagement photos. Particularly since they are getting married in January, she “knew our greenery backdrop would be very limited.” Tuckahoe Plantation offered “a lot of gorgeous gardens to choose from.”
At All Times
Hayley and Chris live and have careers in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Proud doggie parents to Comet, a sweet pom-a-poo, they also dream about raising their future children there. They relish spending time together. Chris and Hayley love to run random errands, watch and attend sporting events, and delight in time with family and friends, Hayley and Chris simply treasure their time together. For a long time their work schedules “didn’t synch” so they learned above all to “enjoy each other’s company at all times.”
Perfect Proposal
Hayley says, “I love LOVE and I am a romantic at heart.” She is a huge fan of the movie “The Notebook” which was filmed in Charleston, South Carolina. In October 2017, Hayley and Chris spent a long weekend in Charleston. They explored some of the famous locations that were filmed there. After a day of sight-seeing, they dined at Chez Nous. Chris proposed in front of the American Theater – a historical landmark featured in a scene from the movie. He arranged for the theater to put a famous line from the Notebook on the Marquee.
“I want all of you, forever, you and me, everyday.” Of the moment, Hayley remarked, “It was truly memorable and a Notebook dream.”
