Gather venue was one of the most unique wedding venues I’ve ever had the honor of photographing. It’s an 1850’s general store transformed into a charming and captivating wedding reception. Shahana and Jacob said their “I do’s” in the woods behind Gather. Their bohemian vintage wedding ceremony held deep within the forest was like an enchanted story. The alpine trees, string lights, and wooden arbor with draping fabric and florals offered the most charming backdrop for their vows. Every little detail of their wedding was perfectly thought out and planned.
Neutral Metallics
Shahana was the definition of a glowing bride. She wore a long sleeve lace wedding gown, a dress she had always dreamed of wearing on her wedding day. The long sleeves provided a classic and elegant look to her vintage wedding style. The bridesmaid dresses were one of her favorite elements. Since they are all very different people, she knew she didn’t want them to all look the same. She wanted each girl to be unique in her own way, so she went in with the parameters of a long dress, neutral colors and/or metallics. Their dresses ended up setting the tone for the rest of the wedding – mismatched neutrals and metallics.
Vintage Elements
Along with the metallics, vintage elements were incorporated to tie in the bohemian style wedding. Everywhere you looked there were impeccable details from the delicate floral plates used to serve the guests to the vintage bike with lavish florals spewing from the bicycle basket. Shahana even collected glass bottles for months to use as centerpieces for the tables. Another special touch that gave that vintage inspired feel was Jacob’s hunter green groomsmen suit from Kenneth Cole. The rich color of his suit complemented the florals and fall color palette of the wedding so perfectly. Shahana and Jacob were one of the most dashing couples I had ever seen on their wedding day!
Happily Ever After
The entire day was perfect. It was exactly everything they had envisioned. Shahana mentioned to me that they really cherished the time in the morning getting ready with their closest friends and family. It set the precedent for the day. There was perfect harmony and balance. You could see the happiness flooding from Shahana and Jacob all day. It truly was a special day to witness, and I feel so honored to have been the one to photograph their wedding day! Thank you for letting me apart of it. Cheers to one amazing and loving couple!
