Erin & Andrew’s engagement session at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts was nothing shy of playful and full of love! As soon as I met them I was so excited to show Andrew my chair (if you haven’t experienced my chair I’ll have to show you). It’s a little kid’s chair and I only bring it out for special occasions, preferably when someone is super tall, like Andrew. Keep in mind I’m 4’11”. I looked at him and said, “You are a very special man . . . because I get to use this on you today.” – They both laughed. These sweethearts got engaged at a lake house in Powhatan. They had spent the day in the cabin next to the fire spending time together (It was a little getaway). The sun started setting and Andrew asked Erin if she wanted to watch the sunset. After the sunset, they got ready to come back in and Andrew stopped Erin in her tracks by saying, “I love you” for the first time. He then got down on one knee and asked her to be his sweetheart forever. Of course she said yes!! She turned around and their friends were hiding and setting off fireworks around the lake. They finished dinner and all their friends showed up to pop the bubbly and celebrate!! Guys – take note – the fireworks are a big hit with the ladies 😉
