This weekend was busy one helping with VA Photography’s Secret Garden Workshop and shooting Charlottesville’s very own Charlee Luck and their amazing clothing brand.
Friday was calling for rain. Ashley and I kept our fingers crossed the rain would subside and IT DID!! Was it BEYOND COLD AND MISTY!? Yes but still an amazing day for a “Secret Garden” themed styled shoot at the Tuckahoe Plantation. All of the sweet girls arrived at the plantation and I shot the behind the scenes of Ashley teaching and being the sweetheart she is!!! I’m sure those girls walked away with a ton of knowledge. After the the teaching aspect, the girls walked out to the gorgeous styled shoot by Dear Sweetheart Events, http://dearsweetheartevents.com/ and Sweet Pear Paper and started going at it!! Ashley explained everything from shooting details to arranging the bride and groom, which I might add was one of her lovely couples she had worked with before. The bride was stunning. She resembled Zooey Deschane, and we all know SHE IS GORGEOUS!!! After a long day of shooting the girls came back in to warm up, and finish up. Yesterday I got the privilege of driving out to a plantation past Churchill where Meg Ryan filmed!!! How cool?? I spent the afternoon with Lauren of Dotted Line Collaborations, http://dottedlinecollaborations.com/ and James, Whitley, and Chris who are the owners of Charlee Luck, http://charleeluck.com/ – an amazing Charlottesville brand. We shot their new spring line which I absolutely loved. Most of their clothing line is geared towards men (ties, bowties, collard shirts) but they have some cute tees for girls as well (fingers crossed they will expand to ladies soon!). The coolest thing I found about their brand?? THE LOGO. A fox. Something about it was cute and clever!!
Lastly, this has nothing to do with photography but some beautiful Cardinals are building a nest outside of our living room. We see them guarding it frequently. I’ll keep you updated when the egg comes!!! SPRING. IS. HERE!
