Taking a summer stroll with Ashley and Eric for their VMFA engagement photos was so fun! I seriously love it when my couples can turn their session into a laid-back good time while reminiscing, and enjoying a good laugh with me.
Ashley and Eric often visited VMFA when they first started dating. At the time, each of them lived within two blocks of the VMFA, making it an ideal spot to meet. So for them, this was truly a full-circle moment. They got to look back on their early dating life together while enjoying this new chapter in life.
The bride and groom to be met on the 4th of a July at mutual friend’s barbecue. I guess you could say they saw “fireworks” because they’ve been inseparable ever since. They knew that they were meant to last when they bonded with each other over the fact that they are both self-described extroverted introverts. They love spending time with their mutual friends, but they also love quiet time in order to recharge. They’ve filled their days together enjoying travel, hiking, and adventuring in the great outdoors. In fact, it was during a trip to Colorado that Eric proposed.
They journeyed to Colorado to hike the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Eric decided to propose to Ashley, down on one knee at Window Rock. A picturesque location that had a stunning view of Pikes Peak directly behind them. She said yes, and they began the wedding planning process from there.
When they reached out to me for their engagement session, their interest was in getting together at VMFA. Not only did the location hold a special meaning for them, but they loved the gorgeous architecture and greenery that the museum provides. Which made it a beautiful choice for a romantic meets fun and easygoing engagement photos. You’ll get to see every detail, in the photos below!
